A MInd Unraveled

A Mind Unraveled by Kurt Eichenwald is a memoir of the author's struggle with epilepsy that began his freshman year in college. It chronicles the endless, exasperating search for a treatment plan that would allow him to live a normal life. The seizures were terrible and the perception that publicly acknowledging his disease would ruin his prospects was a terrible burden. Terrible misdiagnoses and subsequent poorly managed medical care nearly killed him. The fact he ultimately triumphs make his story all the more inspirational. (Non-Fiction)
