Booktivities: Read, Discuss, Craft - The Donkey Egg
3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Rowayton Library

Students in grades K to 2 who are comfortable with a drop-off program, are welcome to join us for this book club/crafting session mash-up. First, we read aloud a recently published picture book, talk about it, and do a related craft project for kids to take home.

Space is limited, so please register for each Booktivity individually. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate walk-ins for these programs. Please register 1 child at a time so we can have an accurate headcount. Click here to sign up.

The Donkey Egg by Janet Stevens and Susan Stevens Crummel
The cast of characters in this folkloric include a wily fox, a helpful hare, and a somewhat gullible bear. Let’s just say the “donkey egg” is not what bear thinks it is, and the results are satisfying with a touch of humor. After enjoying this circuitous story, readers are invited to stay and make an “eggcellent” craft of their own.

New Photo Release Policy effective February 1, 2019. See here for details.
