Come With Me by Helen Schulman is engrossing and well written. It’s a combination of family drama, a close look at the Palo Alto tech world and the endless ways it impacts people, with a whiff of the paranormal to keep things interesting. The main character is a wife and mother (the children are wonderfully drawn characters) who works for a 19-year-old genius who has created a program that allows you to reprogram your past and take a close look at those tempting “what ifs.” Her husband is a struggling journalist in an environment with no time for his field. It’s a provocative, timely, and deeply human book with laugh out loud moments. Give it a try!
