The Good Egg by Jory John follows an egg on a journey of self-discovery. He's a good egg, always helpful and the best behaved of the dozen in the box. The other eleven are exhausting and their raucous behavior wears on the good egg. Eventually, he decides a little time off is in order to unscramble his head. Once he has relaxed he realizes that if he doesn’t worry quite so much he can hang out with his box of friends and not get too many cracks in his shell. A happy ending is had by all! The illustrations are comical and heartwarming.
