The Superpower Field Guide to Moles by Rachel Poliquin, illustrated by Nicholas Frith, features Rosalie the bionic burrower. Her arms are miraculously strong and you can't be impressed at the amount of dirt a mole can move. They create side tunnels for dirt storage, are prodigious worm eaters (thus the pantry tunnels) who have figured out how to store them through winter. It's a bit gross but fascinating, read on! Moles have never been so interesting.
