13 HOURS: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi – MOVIE – (R) – In Libya, following the 2011 civil war resulting in the deposition and execution of dictator Muammar Gaddafi, Benghazi became one of the most violent places in the world. The U.S. closed all but one outpost, The Annex, which is protected by a team of CIA contractors, the Global Response Staff (G.R.S.), and the Special Mission compound across town where the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens (Matt Letscher) resides with other guards. On the morning of Sept. 11, 2012, suspicious activity is observed near the compound, but it isn’t until that night that large teams of militants storm the compound in an attack burning down the Ambassador’s residence. This is the gripping true story of six elite ex-military private security operators hired to protect the G.R.S., fighting back against overwhelming odds to protect the Annex, while waiting for assistance from U.S. forces outside Libya.
