A Song about Myself

A Song About Myself by John Keats, illustrated by Chris Raschka, is an untitled poem Keats included in a letter to his sister during a trip to Scotland when he was twenty-two. There is marvelous wordplay and colorful watercolors that seem to soar over the pages like the thoughts that would someday become some of the world’s most romantic poetry. In the end he “stood in his shoes and he wondered, he wondered," a perfect way to think about writing poetry. (Non-Fiction)
