A Truck Full of Money

A Truck Full of Money by Tracy Kidder is the story of kayak.com co-founder Paul English. Kidder spent three years with English; the book begins with his childhood in Boston, covers how his life changed when kayak was bought by Priceline for a very tidy sum, and ends with his new projects. English’s lifetime struggle with bipolar is right out in front. The book is interesting as so many of the lessons English has learned in his career have broad applicability to anyone starting or working in a business. Perhaps the most obvious are work with people you enjoy and respect--that was clearly an advantage in English’s career
