Ada Twist, Scientist by Andrea Beaty, illustrated by David Roberts, is the latest in this series, this one championing girl power and STEM. Ada, a young African American girl, is curious about everything. “Why?” is her favorite question. Cameo appearances by Iggy Peck and Rosie Revere, characters from previous books in the series are fun. Her experiments do not always have predictable outcomes, which is certainly realistic. The companion pictures are terrific.
