Be Frank with Me by Julia Johnson has an unusual and addicting cast of characters. Frank is nine years old and a true original. He’s the son of a burned out writer trying to turn out her first book in a decade. Her agent sends a watchdog out to their house in LA and the fun begins. Frank steals the show between his quirky fashion sense and hot wired brain. It’s a very witty book, with lots of laugh out loud moments combined with an acute understanding of how hard it is to be different in the fourth grade.
