Don't Call Me Pig!--A Javelina Story

Don’t Call Me Pig!--A Javelina Story by Conrad Storad, illustrated by Beth Neely and Don Rantz is educational and fun. The javelin is native to the deserts of the southwestern USA. Its proper name is the Collared Peccary because of its neck band of white hair. They live in herds and are clearly a bit stinky! Their eyesight is poor so the scent is how they know each other. This is a terrific book with lovely, charming paintings alongside a rhyming text.
