Eee-Moo! by Annika Dunklee & Brian Wong is the story of a lovable, lost platypus. Born on a farm where he is unhelpfully christened by a pig and cow, he thinks he is an emu and sets off to find his people. Children will be fascinated by his journey as he uses all available forms of transport to arrive at an emu farm. You can imagine the birds’ reaction when he announces he is an emu. A helpful koala takes him on the last leg of his journey to a happy reunion. This is a very appealing read aloud.
