Even Dogs in the Wild is the latest Ian Rankin. Rebus is back, along with his cohorts Siobhan Clarke and Matthew Fox. The villainous Gerry Cafferty is central once again to a complicated plot involving revenge. Cafferty finds himself in the awkward position of needing the newly retired Rebus, and Rebus has to manage a delicate dance with the coppers who are not happy to see him involved in their case.
