Five Survive by Holly Jackson is a thriller that details a teenage road trip gone fatally wrong. High school senior Red Kenny is excited for the spring break road trip she’s planned with her best friend, Maddy, from Philadelphia to the Gulf Coast. Also along for the ride are Maddy’s older brother, Oliver, his girlfriend, Reyna, Red’s old friend Simon, and her secret crush, Arthur. Everything is going fine until the group finds their RV lost in an area with no cell service, no GPS, and a flat tire. What seems like bad luck starts to appear premeditated when the six friends discover they’re trapped in the RV and a mysterious voice tells them that one of them has to give up a secret – or die.
