Frank and Lucky Get Schooled by Lynne Rae Perkins is delightful. Lucky is the rescue dog who finds a home with young Frank, who is heavily engaged in learning. The contrast between how Lucky looks at various subjects from a dog’s perspective, versus the classic, academic approach is very cleverly done. This is a book that very subtly teaches a bit as you go along. The illustrations are humorous and charming.
