HERCULES – Movie – PG13 – Mixing fable with fact, this is rather a good version of ancient Greek myth, portraying Hercules and his band of very loyal followers as mercenaries trying to make a living protecting others after Hercules is cast out of Athens for the brutal murder of his wife and children. Now traveling about, selling their keen expertise as fighters, they are drawn into a conflict in the realm of Thesis, where they are called on to help the aged king, his widowed daughter and her young son maintain the throne and protect their people from a rampaging interloper. Meanwhile, Hercules battles his personal demons, primarily his loss of memory from the night of the murder of his wife and young daughters, coupled with night terrors about memories from the labors he undertook for Hera.
