Hitchcock- Movie – PG13 – Anthony Hopkins as Hitchcock and Helen Mirren as Hitch’s extremely talented wife, Alma Reville. This 2012 movie is about their love story and the chaos that threatened their marriage during the filming of PSYCO. Showing the Hollywood power couple, as they’d be referred to today, in a starkly realistic, sometimes highly unflattering light, it also spotlights their employees, friends, backers, supporters and studio heads and other Tinseltown hangers-on. Wanting to recover the thrill of their early movie-making days, Hitch decides to take a huge financial and emotional risk in filming the highly controversial book/story of Ed Gein. Excellent, and interesting view of 1959 LA.
