Hoot and Peep

Hoot and Peep by Lita Judge builds on this author’s reputation for creating lively, expressive characters, in this case an owl brother and sister. Hoot is the elder brother, bent on teaching his sister the importance of the correct owl “Whoo” sounds. Peep on the other hand, loves to sing in all kinds of ways, none of which endear her to her brother. The setting for the resolution of this quarrel is a lovely cathedral town. A chorus of mice adds to the charm.
