Jane by Aline McKenna and Ramon Perez is an updated, graphic novel version of Jane Eyre. The setting has moved to Manhattan where Jane works for the mysterious Mr. Rochester, a billionaire hedge fund executive. His charming daughter and redoubtable housekeeper also have key roles that echo the classic Bronte novel. This is a great introductory sojourn into graphic novels as the cartoons are expressive and add to the retelling of this classic. This is an entertaining diversion.
