by Ebony, LaDelle is a romance between two dreamy, ambitious teens. Prince Jones is only 17, but he’s an expert on love--at least, he dispenses romantic advice to fellow teens in a segment on a Detroit radio show. But honestly, he’s never been in love and his chances for a romance, along with his dreams of being a full-time DJ, seem to be stymied by his role as caretaker to his mother, who has multiple sclerosis, and his little brother. But then he meets Dani Ford, an aspiring writer who is focused on getting a scholarship so that she can move to New York. Prince is smitten, but Dani is reluctant to let a relationship derail her ambitions for just a fling. She gives Prince an ultimatum: he has three dates to prove himself. While the romance is adorable, this is also a lovely coming-of-age story. (Young Adults)
