MAGGIE – movie – PG13 - – A very adult zombie movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin in a small Midwest farming town during a zombie-infection epidemic that has neighbors and families pitted against one another in the terror of it’s wide, fast spread. This is a zombie movie that explores the difficult period of incubation of both disease and imminent death of a teenage girl. Actually played with great pathos, despite the ‘horror-flick’ personae of this genre, it reaches depths of emotions as concerns evolve into fears, worries into hysteria, and families, friends, communities devolve into warring camps. Worth watching, sobering, serious, lovely.
