What is this March Book Madness about?
In 2019, the Rowayton Library debuted two book-based tournaments. Instead of college basketball teams playing against one another, we selected popular books of yours, our patrons, from the past year and left it up to the community to vote on the winners.
One tournament is for adults and teens and the other is for children. Each tournament begins with 32 titles.
Children's brackets include:
PICTURE BOOKS, CHAPTER BOOKS, NONFICTION, and GRAPHIC NOVELS
Brackets for adults and YA/tweens are:
FICTION, YA/TWEEN, COOKBOOKS, and NONFICTION
Look at the titles to see what you have read this past year and vote for your favorites OR be inspired by the selections and come check out one of these great titles.
This year, March Madness returns with an added feature! While we take a vote each week on the popular books from 2022, we’ll also be taking submissions for the name of our new library mascot – the moose!
Voting for each round ends at 12 p.m. noon on the dates below:
First Round: Monday, March 6
Sweet Sixteen: Monday, March 13
Elite Eight: Monday, March 20
Final Four: Monday, March 27
Championship: Monday, April 3 (the last day to submit a name for our library mascot!)
Click on the brackets below to submit your votes for the Championship round!
- Adult and YA/Tween Tournament: Adult Fiction vs. Adult Nonfiction
