She’s Leaving Home by William Shaw, is the first in a planned trilogy. The action takes place in swinging late 60’s, Beatle mad London. A young woman’s body is found in an alley and a crew of police tries to stay on top of both the case and a rapidly changing world. There is great character development and atmosphere. The now almost forgotten war in Biafra is integrated into the plot to good effect
