The Antiques by Kris D’Agostino is a portrait of family dysfunction that becomes even more byzantine with the death of the family patriarch and the ruin of the family antique business. It is somewhat reminiscent of ‘The Nest’ but snarkier. It mostly takes place in Hudson, NY after Hurricane Sandy. A Magritte painting is the root of the discord as it must be sold. The siblings are all flawed in their own way, some dramatically more than others, but the family manages to make its way forward with some laughs as well.
