THE BFG –-Children’s Movie--(PG)--A 10-year old girl named Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) is in for the adventure of her life when she meets the Big Friendly Giant (Mark Rylance). An orphan, Sophie often wakes in the middle of the night, pads around the orphanage checking everything is locked up and safe, then reads in her bed by flashlight. Sometimes there are strange noises in the dark outside. Then one blacker than black night, the noises come closer and closer and a large hand, bigger than all of Sophie, reaches inside to her bed and whisks her away into the deep dark, far away into an adventure she had never imagined before.
