The City Baker’s Guide to Country Living by Louise Miller is a warm and touching romance. Olivia Rawlings, a chef with a high powered job in Boston, ends up in Guthrie VT as the pastry chef in the local inn. Although the story arc is arguably predictable this debut novel captures the uncertainties of successfully remaking a life, with lots of delicious food to ease the transition! There are numerous funny moments.
