THE HEDGEHOG – Foreign Movie – (PG) – French with English Subtitles - Based on The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery. This French film (“Le He’risson”) is about an upper-class apartment building in Paris. It’s the story of Paloma Josse, 11 years old, who has decided to commit suicide on her birthday in June rather than risk growing up to be like her family. Meanwhile, she is filming everyone around her, mother, older sister and her fiancé, dad, the cat and the goldfish, and Madame Michel, the concierge. An unexpected encounter introduces Paloma to the building’s grumpy concierge and to a new, enigmatic and elegant neighbor, Mr. Ozu. Suddenly, life is not so ordinary anymore…it begins to have possibilities!
