Tiny and the Big Dig by Sherri Rinker is a testament to perseverance. Tiny the pup will not be distracted from his mission to unearth the bone he is sure he smells under the ground. His animal friends are discouraging (in a nice way) but the “kid” who owns him believes in Tiny. The story is told is rollicking rhymes perfectly suited to the energetic digging. The illustrations are equally lively. The ending is guaranteed to make everyone giggle.
