Rowayton Library is fine free! Research shows that library fine systems disadvantage those who are the least able to pay, but the most in need of library services. With the goal of reducing barriers to access, Rowayton Library has eliminated charging fines for overdue materials as of Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

Patrons are still responsible for lost or damaged materials. Materials will be automatically flagged as "lost" if they are overdue for a period of 90 days. If items are not returned to the library or are returned in a condition that requires their replacement, patrons will be billed for them. Patron accounts with fines of $30.00 or more cannot renew items online until the account is cleared.

The following Fees are in effect for other services at the Rowayton Library:

• B/W Copying/Printing...$0.10/page (11" x 17" paper is considered 2 pages)
• Color Copying/Printing...$0.25/page (11" x 17" paper is considered 2 pages)
• Outgoing fax...$2.00/first page, $1.00/each additional page
• Use of Scanner...FREE (flash drive required; available for purchase for $2.00)
• Use of Wi-Fi...FREE (no password needed)
• Use of Computers...FREE (library card required)
• Headphones for Computer Use...Available for purchase for $2.00
