When we take information in through art, we truly connect with it on a physical and spiritual level. Art has a profound impact on the reader/viewer—helping to heal much more deeply than through strictly intellectual modalities.
Chelsea Danburg's artbook, Painted by Rain, combines her poetry, photography and hand drawn elements into a moving art piece, a multifaceted experience that is strikingly profound. It is deeply personal—diving into Chelsea's struggles with addiction, miscarriage, parenting, and creativity bottled up inside. However personal, these challenges are not hers alone. Sadly, far too many experience the same struggles. Painted by Rain offers connection, inspiration and peace to others going through the same things.
Join us for this presentation with Chelsea as she shares her process of creating Painted by Rain—of running and photographing, and then later, writing poems using the photos as a springboard to launch from. It is Chelsea's hope and wish that sharing her journey will offer connection, inspiration and peace to others going through the same experiences.
Refreshments will be served and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing after the event. Register here!
